Double protection of the Higgs potential

A mechanism of double protection of the Higgs potential, by supersymmetry and by a global symmetry, is investigated in a class of supersymmetric models with the SU(3)xSU(3)xU(1) gauge symmetry. Analog Reconfigurable Circuits

The aim of this paper is to present an overview of a new branch of analog electronics represented by analog reconfigurable circuits. The reconfiguration of analog circuits has been known and used since the beginnings of electronics, but the universal reconfigurable circuits called Field Programmable Analog Arrays (FPAA) have been developed over the last two decades. This paper presents the classification of analog circuit reconfiguration, examples of FPAA solutions obtained as academic projects and commercially available ones, as well as some application examples of the dynamic reconfiguration of FPAA.

Akta osobowe burmistrzów miasta Bydgoszczy w zasobie Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz w Berlinie-Dahlem. Analiza zawartości i perspektywa badań egodokumentalnych oraz prozopograficznych

Bydgoszcz historical records can be found in various archives, not only in Poland, but also abroad. The purpose of this article is to present the content of personal files of the mayors of the city of Bydgoszcz (Reinhold Boie, Hugo Eugen Alexander Braesicke, Johann Theodor Gustav von Buchholtz, Gustav Rudolph Felix Dahrenstaedt, Rudolph Wilde), which are currently kept in  Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz in Berlin – Dahlem. In addition, the author presents the possibility of use of these archival sources in prosopographical research and egodocument analysis

Bydgostiana w zasobie Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz w Berlinie (Dahlem) – uzupełnienie stanu wiedzy

This article was written based on materials collected withinexchange of archivists between Polish and German archives. The author was a guest of Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz in Berlin(Dahlem), where he searched for archival materials and publications concerning Bydgoszcz and its region. The report presents results of research on Bydgoszcz memorabilia kept in the Berlin Archives. Publication of information on Bydgoszcz archival materials gathered in the collection of GStA PK in Berlin can broaden the knowledge on the history of the city and region.Artykuł powstał na podstawie materiałów zgromadzonych w ramach wymiany archiwistów pomiędzy archiwami polskimi i niemieckimi. Autor tekstu był gościem w Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preußischer Kulturbesitz w Berlin (Dahlem), gdzie poszukiwał materiałów archiwalnych oraz publikacji traktujących o Bydgoszczy i regionie. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki badań nad bydgostianami przechowywanymi w berlińskim archiwum. Zasób Archiwum Miejskiego w Bydgoszczy w latach 1909-1920

The Municipal Archives in Bydgoszcz were founded on November 3, 1909. The purpose of this institution was protection of the archives and other cultural assets. In the beginning of the article, the author describes the history of the archives. It is followed by presentation of the archival resources based on the archive source in the form of Archiv-Katalog. The archives feature old-Polish records, documents regarding administration and finances of the city, reports documenting contemporary times, and museum objects

Dokumentacja techniczna miasta Bydgoszczy

The article presents technical documentation of the city of Bydgoszcz, which is stored in the State Archives of Bydgoszcz. The author focused primarily on documentation from the archival group Records of the City of Bydgoszcz. They contain blueprints of the most important buildings in the city, private enterprises, and municipal companies. An analysis was made in accordance with archival references of the group. It should be emphasized that technical documentation is an important archival source for studies on the history of the city. The article has been written for the purposes of popularization

Ustrój Cechu Piwowarów w Bydgoszczy w świetle statutu z 1770 roku

The Brewers Guild was founded in Bydgoszcz in 1770. The guild statute regulated economic, social and religious aspects of the organization. The statute was specifying in a strict way the terms of joining and membership in the guild. It associated only wealthy citizens of the city. The guild specified amounts of beer produced and its price. Guildsmen celebrated services at the high altar in the Parish Church (Fara). The brewers deed included helpers, who had exclusive rights to serve the brewers. The guild operated probably for two years, since in 1772, as a result of the first partition of Poland, Bydgoszcz was incorporated to the Kingdom of Prussia

Bydgoskie archiwalia w zasobie Geheimes Staatsarchiv Preufiischer Kulturbesitz w Berlinie - Dahlem

The article describes results of archive searches, conducted in the Geheimes Staatsarchiv PreuBischer Kulturbesitz in Berlin. The visit had two targets. The first one w as to get acquainted with the office-archival aids in the Regierungsbezirk Bromberg in order to find archival sources, which would allow for establishing a perfect archival inventory for the archival group stored in Berlin and Bydgoszcz. The second target w as to perform searches regarding the records related to Bydgoszcz. There are many interesting sources to the history of the city and region in the archival materials related to Bydgoszcz

Unification in models with replicated gauge groups

We examine unification of gauge couplings in four dimensional renormalizable gauge theories inspired by the latticized (deconstructed) SM or MSSM in five dimensions. The models are based on replicated gauge groups, spontaneously broken to the diagonal subgroup. The analysis is performed at one-loop level, with the contribution from the heavy vector bosons included, and compared with the analogous results in the SM or MSSM. Unification at or above the diagonal breaking scale is discussed. We find that in the considered class of extensions of the SM(MSSM) unification is possible for a wide range of unification scales and with the similar accuracy as in the SM(MSSM). Unification above the diagonal breaking scale is particularly attractive: it is a consequence of the SM(MSSM) unification, but with the unification scale depending on the number of replications of the gauge group.Comment: 19 pages, 3 figure

Application of green chemistry in decreasing adverse effect of (R,S)-ibuprofen

Lipases from Candida rugosa (OF and MY) were tested for their application in the enzymatic kinetic resolution of (R,S)-ibuprofen by enantioselective esterification. In this study, screening of enzymes was performed, and lipase MY was selected as an optimal catalyst, which allows to obtain products with high enantiopurity. Additionally, the influence of reaction time on the enantiomeric ratio and conversion was tested. High values of enantiomeric ratio (E in the range of 40.1–71.3) of the esterification of (R,S)- -ibuprofen were obtained using lipase MY, which has a great significance in the field of pharmaceutical synthesis of drugs. The chiral compounds (substrates and products) were analysed with the use of chiral stationary phases. As a result of the optimization, the reaction performed with the application of lipase MY allowed to achieve less toxic for human health (S)-enantiomer of ibuprofen with the high enantiomeric excess of product eep = 95%. Conversion of the reaction was c = 30.6% and enantioselectivity E = 58.9 after 126 h of incubation
